Fall into Food Trailers

Fall into Food Trailers

Ah yes, the Fall season is upon us. The leaves have started to turn, the weather is brisk and everyone is whipping out their nice and worn cowboy boots. That’s a load of crap, and we all know it. I swear I almost keeled over and died yesterday when I went for a run because it was 98°. Damnit Texas, come on. I’m tired of being eaten alive by mosquitos. Despite this poor excuse for “Fall” there are some awesome silver linings brought to you by your friendly food trailer community.

Truck By Truckwest

This is as local as it gets guys. A true local effort that actually benefits the food trucks on multiple levels. From October 29 – November 3 Austin’s hungriest will scour 60+ food trucks and trailers on this massive Trailer Crawl. It’s super easy: Check out the site. Buy a Badge. Pick up your badge at Trailer Food Tuesdays on 10/29. Get to Eating. Vote for your favorite and help them win the $10,000 GRAND PRIZE!

Trailer Food Tuesdays 10/29 (Last of the Season)

This event has grown astronomically since it’s inception last year. During Season 2, Trailer Food Tuesdays has expanded their truck line up, included great new bonuses like on-site screen printing via Sanctuary Printshop, Food Giveaways, Free Music, Booze and an overall great atmosphere to test out trucks from all over central Texas. October 29th is the last event of the season until next year. You know you’ll miss it! Come join the fun with the largest line up of trailers and trucks yet, great music from The Peterson Brothers (AMAZING and they are playing at ACL on the BMI Stage) and send off this season in full-bellied style.

Co-Op Food Court

Austin’s newest food trailer court is in full swing behind the University Co-Op, and they are looking for your help! Two amazing food courts have opened in the UT Campus area in the past year or so (Rancho Rio Eatery and Co-Op Food Court). I’ll tell you guys a little secret. If you don’t patronize these purpose-built food courts they will stop popping up and the few that we have will go extinct. So, no more complaining about SoCo Trailer Park closing down! Get to the new parks and support them! Besides who doesn’t want to eat at Chi’Lantro, Full House BBQ, Kebabalicious, New Orleans Po-Boy and Gumbo Shop, Wright Brothers Dairy and more! Check out their grand opening party on Sept 26.
