It’s now confirmed that two of Austin’s most popular late-night food parks will be closing in March. East Side Fillin Station located at 6th and Waller is closing it’s doors to make way for what we can only imagine is development. East Side Fillin Station will operate as-is through March 31st with a possible boost of 3-5 trailers for it’s final month. Some trailers like Way South Philly have already found new homes in nearby areas.
Rainey St. Food Court is also shuttering. Unlike East Side Fillin Station, the Rainey St. Food Court will close before SXSW takes place in Austin. No word of why trucks must vacate prior to SXSW, but one may think it’s to lease the property for a private event. The fate of the lot is unknown, but it’s a safe bet that development will take place where the trucks once were. All trailers are scrambling to find a home prior to the closure, so keep your eyes peeled for updated locations and hours.
